Experimenting With Serifs
When approaching a project for Advanced Typography class, I wanted to design a unique typeface. This lead to my desire to experiment with serifs.
Platforms was a typeface I designed in Glyphs for my Advanced Typography class. A semester after the class had concluded, I went back to further develop the font and create a poster for it.
In February 2024, it was accepted into the AAF Lansing ADDY awards, earning a gold in the regional student category.
Designing for Display
I knew I wanted to aim for more of a display typeface, so I let myself be more playful with each letter, still ensuring they fell under the same general aesthetic.
